The Binox

Gathering resources has always been a time-consuming and dangerous prospect for any civilization. In an incredible example of lack of foresight, the Gatacans developed environmentally resilient and physically strong lifeforms, dubbed Binox.

Eventually the Binox became aware of the Gatacan exploitation. A bloody rebellion at a genetic facility resulted in the Binox freeing themselves and stealing a transport and escaping into the abyss of space with a large collection of genetic samples and the equipment needed to continue continue the creation of their kind.

It was discovered quickly that under the right circumstances, large quantities of genetic material, even from a dead Binox, could be recombined with fresh material to grow a new Binox. Even stranger, these Binox inherited some of the memories and abilities of the previous Binox. This has resulted in an enduring culture of grudge-bearing warriors.

Utterly resourceful, the Binox now carve their way across the cosmos in salvaged vehicles, attacking colonies and taking anything and everything they can use to their advantage.
