Desert Scorpions

The planet of Jejohn is a planet that was originally written off as a barren wasteland.  Originally a paradise, over the millennia, the climate changed and its orbit shifted, scorching the surface and removing almost all sources of surface water.  As time went on many life forms sought out Jejohn and it became the subject of many a religious pilgrimage, as it was believed that the harsh environment would temper even the wildest of souls.  Some life still persisted, and with patience and hard work, the new inhabitants of Jeffjorney found ways of taming and communicating with them. 

When the Draconid forces stumbled upon Jejohn, they originally thought it was uninhabited and landed thinking they would just take the planet with no resistance. Much to their surprise as they disembarked huge shapes on the horizon appeared as monstrous underground creatures emerged.  As they got closer, t became clear that they were covered with lifeforms clinging to the giant’s back as they started to disembark and attack the Draconids with utter fury.  AS quickly as they appeared and attacked, they seemed to disappear into the sand storms as the laser-focused assault cause the Draconids to fall back to their ships and take off.   

Now known as the Desert Scorpions, these industrious fighters are adept at surgically striking their enemies from under the ground with their giant tunneling Nereididae.  Coupled with their uncanny ability to communicate and work with the ferocious Hadrurus they strike hard and fast and can deal with almost any threat.
